Tvaresnių įpročių auginimas per karantiną

Karantinas daugeliui suteikė progą patirti, kaip galima gyventi kitaip. Nenuspėjamas laikas, pokytis, įsivyravęs visuose kontinentuose įkvėpė vilties, kad galime mobilizuotis ir veikti vieningai, iškilus iššūkiui, ir kartu suteikė baimės, kaip greit viskas gali pasikeisti ir tapti nekontroliuojama. Su šiais suvokimais, karantinas į mūsų namus atnešė galimybę sulėtinti tempą ir paieškoti alternatyvų kasdienybės įpročiams.

1. Išsitraukiau dviratį. Viešuoju transportu važiuoti nesinorėjo (ypač esant viruso protrūkiui), o maistą perku iš kioskelių ir turgelių, taip pat reikėjo vykti iki paštomato. Oras darėsi palankus dviračiui, o mano rajone nutiestas naujas dviračių takas – platus, dviejų juostų, važiuoji ir norisi dėkoti jį nutiesusiems. Nors ne visur su dviračiu patogu – daug kur šaligatviai nepritaikyti dviračiams, sunku prasilenkti su pėsčiaisiais, bet pagalvojus, galima susidėlioti patogų maršrutą. Vilnius savo reljefu kartais verčia paprakaituoti, bet dabar, po 2-3 mėnesių dažnesnio važiavimo, galiu jausti, kaip į kalnelius įminti vis lengviau. Taigi pliusai: gerai sveikatai, grūdinimuisi, nieko nekainuoja (nebent dviračio remontas), neteršia oro ir miesto vandenų (mašinų dulkes, nuotekas nuplauna lietaus vanduo, kuris patenka į upes, kitus telkinius), gali pajusti vėją ir aplenkti kamščius piko metu. Turėjau problemą, kaip dviračiu važiuoti su šuniu, kuris šalia nepabėga – radau uždarą krepšelį ant dviračio priekio. Jei būtų vaikų, galima naudoti priekabas ar kėdutes prie dviračių (yra visokiausių – darželyje, kuriame dirbu, vienas tėtis kartais važiuoja net su dviem vaikais!). Minusai: nemalonu važiuoti per lietų, nepasiimsi daugiau daiktų nei paneši ant pečių ar telpa ant bagažinės (dėl to ketinu įsigyti specialius bagažinės krepšius, kurie praplėstų galimybes).

2. Pradėjome pirkti maistą iš turgelio. Ir anksčiau mėgau pirkti iš ūkininkų ir vietinių versliukų, bet karantinas mus paskatino išvis neiti į parduotuves. Turgeliai po atviru dangumi, ryto metu, kai nedaug žmonių, atrodė geresnė mintis. Ir čia maisto įpročiuose įvyko tikra revoliucija! Mokėmės valgyti tai, kas yra sezoniška, ką valgė mūsų protėviai, kai negalėjo apsipirkinėti prekybcentriuose – nusipirkdavom daržovių, pupelių, džiovintų ir šviežių vaisių, naminės duonos, kiaušinių, padažų, trapučių, pieno produktų, bandelių, žuvies, vieną kitą naminės dešros gabalėlį. Apsipirkinėjom kartą per savaitę, taip pat kartą numindavau iki kioskelio atvežtinių vaisių ir daržovių, kai labai užsinorėdavom – cukinijų, paprikų, bananų. Pliusai: susitaupė šiek tiek pinigų, pirkdami kartą per savaitę apmąstome, ko reikia (visgi prekės turgelyje nėra pigesnės nei parduotuvėje); valgome kokybišką ir tikimės, kad etiškai užaugintą maistą, kur žemdirbiaujant nenualinama žemė, o gyvulininkaujant išlaikoma pagarba gyvūnui ir jo prigimčiai; remiame smulkų verslą, kuris vertybiškai atitinka mūsų lūkesčius; galima apsiprekinti su gerokai mažiau pakuočių, ypač jei atsineši savo daugkartinius maišiukus; vietiniai ūkininkai netransportuoja savo produkcijos per visą šalį, kelias šalis ar net kontinentus, ką daro prekybos centrai. Apsiprekinus parduotuvėje savo prekių krepšelį susirenki iš kelių ar net keliolikos šalių: moliūgų sėklos ir česnakai iš Kinijos, saulėgrąžos iš Rumunijos, bananai iš Kosta Rikos… Sunku ir įsivaizduoti, kiek tokie logistikos mastai kainuoja resursų! Minusai: kartais tenka sumokėti daugiau nei tikėjaisi, ko nesumoji pirkdamas; negali bet kada užsukti, nes turgus turi savo laiką; ne visuose turguose viskas parduodama iš savo ūkių, tuo labiau ne viskas ekologiškai užauginta – čia jau pirkėjo akylumo, komunikabilumo reikalas sužinoti ir pardavėjo sąžinės reikalas nemeluoti.

3. Iš parduotuvės trūko labai nedaug ko – tualetinio popieriaus, muilo drožlių skalbimui, trupučio prieskonių… Visgi kai ko, ką valgome kasdien ir sunaudojame daug, turguje neradome – tai kruopos. Anksčiau dalį jų (avižines kruopas ir dribsnius, įvairius ankštinius) pirkę iš kaimasinamus.lt, ūkininko Valeikos, šįkart viską iškart užsisakinėjom iš Amritos internetu didesniais kiekiais (po 2 kg): taip mažiau pakuočių nei parduotuvėje, o tos, kurias gavome, tikrai puikiai panaudojamos dar ir darsyk. Amritos prekės ekologiškos, visgi tik dalis jų iš Lietuvos – pavyzdžiui, grikiai lietuviški, o avižos – iš Anglijos, taigi avižų ketinam grįžti pas ūkininką.

Vis dėlto, tenka pripažinti, kad pasibaigus karantinui ir suaktyvėjus gyvenimo tempui dažniau lankomės parduotuvėse, tačiau mąstymas tapo kritiškesnis – produktus, kuriuos galime įsigyti turguje, vengiam pirkti parduotuvėje, nebent jau nieko nespėjam :).

4. Kosmetiką ir higieną pirkome internetu iš Kamanėlės – tiek dezodorantus, kietuosius šampūnus, muilus, kremus. Viskas natūralu, rankom pagaminta, maloniai kvepia, mus švarina ir džiugina, taip pat neteršia vandens, subėgančio į vonios skylutę ar prausiantis upelyje. Higieninių paketų pirkti nereikėjo – jau kelis metus naudoju daugkartinius.

5. Kadangi bendravimas su draugais ir artimaisiais buvo apribotas, o taip pat nebuvo prieinamos įvairiausios miestietiškos pramogos – kavinės, kino teatrai, renginiai…, pavasariui bundant, daugiau laiko praleidome gamtoje, atokiame vienkiemyje: domėjomės gamtine žemdirbyste, klausėmės stirninų lojimo, stebėjome angį, kiškius, stirnas, lapes, paukščius, debesis ir sprogstančius medžius, svajojome apie atsikuriančius nedidelius kaimus ir bendruomenes, kurios patenkins savo poreikius čia pat užauginamu maistu ir paslaugomis, kurios negyvens besaikio žemės išteklių naudojimo sąskaita, kurių kasdienybės nesudrums karantinas ir uždarytas prekybos centras.
